Guest guest
Happy birthday to you Alice. You seem to be the fourth person I know (the others a little better than you) with her/his birthday on this day. Congratulations to you all! Love, Mette _______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ Message: 2 Date: Sat, 13 Nov 1999 00:53:30 -0600 From: " K. So much wisdom around this little flame..there is not much to add. Dan...yours was a keeper. Jung's insights, were in fact, based on more than mere intuition, reason, sense or feeling...it was his ability in the end(IMHO)..to incorporate all these processes into his own inner work that made his own healing possible and then his amazing ability to heal others. I want to share a little secret with you, Sergei and please do not take it as patronizing bullshit. It is simply my own experience and perhaps you can take what you need from it....When I first started this journey with Jung, I found his works most difficult and needed *interpretors*, so to speak. So I read all the authors, notable and obscure, on Jung. an interesting and insightful lot for sure. Once I had it explained to me in various forms(through all the insights..and some were in fact way off base as a matter of fact)..anyway, I have found myself reading the MAN himself now for over a year and i think the thing i love most about him, was his ability to consider the improbable while reviewing the obvious..his own flexibility of thought...his own contradictions and his catching himself doing them<G>......or..his creativity, when he did not bother to *screen* his own process or those of his patients and friends!! He just let the inner healing process have it's course; and learning to listen to that inner voice makes the Healing possible. In my book, this is the TAO!! Dan is right about many things here. Do not interpret this loss from your vantage point right now...it was a natural process of aging. THE GIFT...is that it *affected* you so profoundly and sends you plumbing your own depths!! There is strength we get from witnessing a life well lived in the important things; family and friends. There is strength, as well, from witnessing a life poorly lived or not lived at all!! Lessons we learn from great souls. Souls which teach us to LOVE. Souls, which touch the deepest recesses of our own higher/lower natures, souls which come in all forms and disguises... souls which made great sacrifices......and make our own growth possible, pleasurable and sometimes, horrific. This is what we gain from the 'Wise Ones'...if we have hearts that can hear! You are hearing the correct voice when you hear that death is a natural end to life. It is synchronous only because you are 'being with' that reality..facing the loss...but seeing the beauty..seeing the ugly..seeing it all. Yes..in a way, it has everything to do with you, but not the way you may think. It is like a *bridge*...the one we face when we die or face our unconscious in this work. We all know we are going there, right now, but it seems so unkind sometimes. That is the underworld soul and it is bountiful. You are gifted with death much like you are gifted with life....a symbolic fact, you think? Just thoughts from the neurotic plane<s>....my prayers are with you...Love,
