Alyssa broke her hand almost two years ago, and I never thought to

ask if the cast was GFCF. They put a waterproof liner under it (I

cannot remember what it is called, seems like the word ends

in " tex " , but I could be wrong), and she got to choose the color.

She was 3.5 years old and chose day-glo orange. ;) We did not see

infraction behavior with the cast. She was almost potty trained,

and we completely lost all potty training ground, which I attributed

to going from 2 epsom salts baths a day to none, overnight.

We asked this question about a year ago. While I don't recall what

was in the cast, it was glutenfree.

I don't know if this helps, but my nutritionist (who is very good and

who I trust completely) has always told me that the gluten molecule

is too large to be absorbed through the skin. The GFCF people are

concerned about things like playdoh only because it can end up in

little kids' mouths. I think once your child isn't putting everything

in his or her mouth, it isn't really an issue anymore.

Hope this helps.
