Hi Lena,The cardiologist did mention this could be an extension of my abdominal pain issues, but then she also said it may be caused by muscular skeletal issues, so she was mostly very vague..  I think western docs have needed a new point of view for some time... I believe all of us Lymies here can speak about our own experiences of little help...

Don't worry, I am taking it very easy... This heart cath is serious business... I am not to do anything strenuous for several days and not lift over 8 lbs... If this artery were to start bleeding out, it only takes 20 minutes until death... So I am taking it very easy...   They don't tell you all of this before the procedure, only after... But this procedure is the gold standard for either ruling in or out heart disease... So I am glad I opted for it...  At least now I am relieved this is not my heart or arteries...

Take care,Jim

Re: OT: Non S/C: Heart issuesHi Jim,

We're relieved to hear that you're back. So sorry that you've still got the pain issues, but glad you are able to rule out heart. Is there any possibility that this is related to the mysterious abdominal pain you've had for quite a while?

I think I'd be checking out Chinese practitioners, as they seem to understand weird linkages in the body in a way that doesn't make sense to western docs, but as this whole thing isn't making sense to western docs, maybe a new point of view?

I wish you swift recovery and won't bore you with warnings to take it easy. I think your body is giving you that message loud and clear. Hope the pain backs off, pronto.

Be well, friendLéna

Hi everyone,Another 3 days in the hospital... Again my intake was a possible heart attack. EKG was fine as was heart enzymes...  I was given an echocardiogram and it was fine. But the cardiologist still had some concerns, so a cardiac cath was done, this is where they enter a main artery in the groin area and go up through the heart and into the upper arteries and can see everything... I passed this with flying colors!  So there is NO heart issues with me so they say... Using nytroglycerin and then glycerin patches for my stay, they did rid me of the pain and pressure... But now back home, it is all there again! But I am so relieved this is not a heart issue.... Heck, with all those healthy supps and salt/C that I take I found it so hard to believe I was having heart problems... Well at least my thinking was correct as this is not a heart or artery problem...

So do I have a medical mystery? Or there was talk that this could be a muscular skeletal issue and they often mimic heart attacks...  Don't know the answer yet....  I am resting a lot now, it seems to help with the pain.....  I am still not out of the woods with this but at least it is not a heart issue and I am so relieved just knowing this!

Be well all!Jim

Jim So glad to see you here again. You are in prayers.stacy

Hi Joyce and everyone!Thank you all for your kind posts, I've read them all... :-)))  I would have sent a message from the hospital, but this time I was on floor #4... I said to the nurse, oh, so nice I have and LCD monitor, my last stay on the 5th floor I had an analog TV and when I sent e-mails, I could not read what I was writing!!!  She smiled and said, yes you do have a nice LCD TV here, but on this floor you don't have Internet.... :-((((((   She said it was budget cuts!  On the 5th floor (my last stay) I had only 20 TV stations, but also had Internet..  This time I have 35 TV stations, but no Internet....

Yes Joyce, this is scary and scary enough to put me in the hospital two times in two months!  I just wonder how I am going to find a resolution to this? At the hospital, they only look for heart related problems, nothing else...  I am in severe pain and my pain meds don't touch this pain... The only thing that helps is DMSO, the pain melts away, but only for about an hour... And much of it is in my back, I can't reach to put the DMSO on myself.... I put it on the chest pain and it subsides quickly...

Just taking one day at a time and a lot of rest now...Thanks everyone for your kind words and wishes,Jim

Hi Jim,

Glad to hear it is not a heart problem and that you're out of the hospital. So

sorry that you are still in pain.

Thanks for your input on my chinese ozonator. Even with all your pain you still

manage to be there for so many others.

I hope you can get to the bottom of this soon and get some relief.

Maureen
