Guest guest
I'll be out of touch for the next week. My wife is attending a medical conference and I must tag along with my nine-year old daughter and seven-year old granddaughter. We'll be " suffering " on the beach at Kiawah Island, S.C., while my wife is attending workshops and seminars. Went to urologist today and he said he'd have a little " anxiety " about performance if he were in as much pain as I am all the time. He said, " I'd probably avoid intercourse with my wife, too, if I had to endure someone hitting me with a sledge-hammer every time I had sex. " He's a very funny guy, but real understanding of the plight of those with chronic pain from RS, etc. He also said, " I suppose you probably know more about this disease than I do. " He did go to the internet to check out sites on Reiter's Syndrome before he talked with me this time. He was very helpful with my current problems. He said there are many treatments to help with the problem of maintaining an erection while encountering pain from RS, etc. There have been a lot of jokes on the internet about Viagra, but he said, " Even with Viagra, pain can still make you loose an erection. " Was hoping for an easy solution. Oh, well. Won't go into the many other recommendations he made, too numerous for a short post. But, if any of you guys out there are encountering similar difficulties I would encourage you to discuss the matter quite frankly with your urologist. There is help. Your wife/partner will appreciate your effort. Ray in Virginia ---------------------------------------------------- Reach me by ICQ.
