One of my favourites is from the Biological Nurturing Website : www.biologicalnurturing.com I also love, related to C-section, the natural C-Section video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5RIcaK98Yg Ghislaine Reid, IBCLCConsultante en lactationLactation ConsultantMontreal, Quebec, Canada De : [mailto: ] De la part de SternEnvoyé : 17 décembre 2011 09:07À : IBCLC in PPObjet : Breastfeeding Videos Hi all, I'm working on my website and want to put a " videos " link with some favorite helpful clips. Would you please share with me any links or youtube clips you love that would be good to put on my site? Do you have any favorites on the myriad of issues we see clients for? Thanks so much! Thank you Ghislaine, For some reason I can't see the c/section video. It's not working. Is there anywhere else I could see it? Also, I too LOVE the biological nurturing website and video, I am just trying to figure out the best way to feature it on my videos page.

If you enter « natural C-section » into YouTube, it should come up. Good luck ! I am finding that many parents do not GET the biological nurturing positions

from pictures. Biological nurturing is a FELT skill. Some of the pictures show

completely collapsed airways so parents often interpret this to be the

equivalent of the curled up baby in bottle feeding pictures. So, even with

laying back if mom is assisting with the hand on the back of the babies head

(which they often do despite looking at the Biological Nuturing pictures) the

babies ends up smooshed into the breast.

While I find elements of the concepts mildly helpful, I don't find it helps when

mothers are having serious difficulties with pain. Many of us (at least here

in Manhattan) had already adopted a laid back approach. I had been using it for

at least five years if not more before her research came out. So, while

Glover's DVD talks about an upright back and a flat lap -- while the moms are

actually slightly sitting back -- I still find fewer parents who attend prenatal

classes with that DVD call afterwards with nipple pain than any other DVD. I

find it very easy to add in the laying back concept to the Glover.

Here in Manhattan, I am now seeing overuse of the term " Biological Nuturing "

with funny awkward positions just as I see overdiagnosis of posterior tongue tie

-- along with the overanalyzed complicated latching instructions and

underdiagnosis of tongue tie.

I actually believe that less talking and more gentle touching with minor little

adjustments of angles is helpful. Its like snowboarding. I had analyzed it up

the wazoo with a bunch of different instructors. It was only when I had one

instructor lightly hold my hands to help me FEEL the snowboarding that the light

bulb clicked on and I went from being hopeless to being able to get down the

slopes without major bruising.
