Guest guest
Dear , I am delighted to hear that I may have brought a smile to your face, or at least a little grin. The first time I tried the tennis balls, which are actually " still-point inducers " , a method of accupressure, I rolled over on my side as instructed by my therapist and it felt like a mass of fishworms was crawling around in the back of my head as the muscles did their unwinding! *L* It is also amazing what you can do with your breath. I have learned to focus on taking my oxygen directly to the area of the most pain by just telling it to go there! Try it! Hold your hand on the back of your head, and breathe deeply and concentrate on taking the oxygen directly to the spot under your hand. Feel the skin swell a little?? Takes a little practice, but it is amazing what we can do with our breathing. I highly praise yoga breathing. I read a lot of different theories, etc. but all of them say focus on the oxygen intake. I was like you, from bed to chair to couch until I got off all meds and figured out what foods, chemicals, and stress factors were adding to my misery. I almost died when I was nursing my son during the last two months of his life. I then realized that I had to " abandon my tribe " as I was the " matriarch " of the family and the only sober one in the bunch and was trying to take care of a bunch of irresponsible drunks. So, I decided I wanted to live, and moved far enough away that now I have my own life and only my stresses to deal with and it is so much easier. Not only can drugs be toxic, but people can be toxic too! I have walked across the embers of hell in my life, but now I am a happy little camper; surviving on SSDI; working on my writing; promoting a gal who has a gospel ministry; and so grateful for all the things I can still do and learning to live with the things I can no longer do. I am sending you some loving energy and telling you that you gotta get up off your butt and keep moving!!! Even if it is just swaying to some slow music, MOVE and BREATHE!!! Love and Light! Diane HUGS!!!
