We had a similar problem with our Becca who has Celiac Disease. Before she

was diagnosed, her bowels were completely out of control so we made a point to

allow her to swim right after she had a bowel movement knowing she was " done

for now " and there would be no accidents in the pool.

Barb - loving wife of dan! Mommy to ten of God's special angels: Chelsea

0:), Gabby 9, Halee 9, Becca 8, Davin 0:), Ana 5, Emma 3, Kamryn 0:), 17

months, Oliver 12 months!

Someone just recently posted a link where you could order swim diapers

of all sizes on another list. I didn't save the link and I looked

through the archives but couldn't find it so I posted for someone to

please resend it. As soon as it comes through I'll post it here. Tell

not to fret he will soon be water log from swimming so much. :-)

Hope

Dear Angel,

I would ask a physical therapy service, or a nursing home, hospital

rehabilitation unit, pool store, or a medical supply company. Perhaps someone

there has had experience with doing water therapy in patients with incontinence.

Good Luck!

Blessings,

Barb Martz

Ok...here's my dilemma...

We just got a new above ground pool! This has turned into a GREAT joy for

everyone EXCEPT . Because he also has a bowel disease, and can't

control

his bowels fully, wears those Goodnight's underpants (ie, big

pull-ups!) These things turn to a gelly mess in the pool, and shed

everywhere! I

know for infants, they make those wonderful " Little Swimmers " diapers/pull-ups

that don't swell in the water...

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions, or know of any products that can help

out??

Angel
