But wouldn't the consequences of NOT being on the nebulizer be even more

dangerous to your health?

When in a life threathening situation you need to do what is necessary

to stay alive. The time to think about cutting back on meds or changing

meds is when you are maintaining or doing well.

BTW- they didn't give you any prednisone? They never let me leave

without a round of pred.

Hi, Hana ...

Actually, the important thing is to get your asthma under control ... and if

hospitalization is necessary, at least

you know you are in a safe environment. I am surprised you are not on

prednisone and presume that will be the next

step.

I wish you good luck ... and good health. JC

Well, gee south TX with an inch of snow! Rats, wish I were there!!!!! Does not

aggravate mine in the least. Helps it.

Cold moist air being the best thing for me to breathe. I

cannot understand why snow did this. perhaps it was the

heating in your home? Or did you get out in improper dress

and shovel with your mouth open to breathe? I do not under-

stand it.

However, different problems for different asthmatics. It is

maybe the only thing interesting about our disease, it's

diversity of symptoms and causes.

Sorry about how you spend NYr's Eve.

Gib

Hana,

Getting admitted to the hospital might be the best

thing for you at this time as you sound like you are

having a hard time with your Asthma.

I was in the hospital the second weekend of December

to get my Asthma back under controll.

The type of medicine that my doctor uses on me in the

hospitla is a combination of things such as

solumedoral which allowa you to breath very easy along

with nebulizor treatments and slobid. This usually

works and I am out of the hospital after 48 hours. My

suggestion is that you go get it treated. Todd

My doctor said that when we don't have enough rain or

freezes (below 32 degree weather), the allergen levels

are much higher. Snow must knock out a lot of the

airborne allergens - provides both the cold and

moisture.

I wish we would get some down here. The mountain

cedar is killing me. We have had some freezing rain

this morning but that's it. I am in San

however and the last time that it snowed here was in

1985! It did snow 13 inches then.

I hope that everyone stays well.

well as mch as I'm sick of snow, I could really use some. Due to

stagnent air being trapped by the mountains, our air quality sucks. They

were telling people on the news last night- those with lung problems

should not go outside unless absolutely necessary and then be sure to

take all of your medications with you.
