Tawny...No need to apologize, and thanks... To all that gave advise, thank you and I will start buying diapers, NOW.....lol On to other more important topics... Toni:I will keep you in prayer, and wish you good luck with your surgery... Althea: I read your post about Dr. Codding with great interest...when I first got sick I saw Dr. Inman before her husband was sent to Dallas, when she left Dr. Codding recieved all her patients. I was quite happy with Dr. Inman but never felt that way with Dr. Codding. Dr. Inman wrote in my records scleroderma was a big possibility in her opinion, Dr. Codding chose to ignore that avenue and wrote that she felt it was a collegen vascular disease, and in her opinion there was no treatment that she felt would be adequate and that she would be willing to see me , but that she felt there was no treatment options available. I always got the feeling she was in a huge hurry and not really interested in anything I had to say. I would get so upset because I would drive an hour to see her and she ..if it was a good day would spend 10 minutes with me.....anyways my PCP felt she was a waste of his and my time and intervened. He took it on himself to find me someone he felt would get to the bottom of things, and I was sent to Dr. Carson. I know quite a few of the folks in OK are seeing Dr. C ...I am sure they would give you input. In my humble opinion he is one of the best docs I have seen. I have never seen any of his PA's , but I have heard that they are really good also. I hope you find a rheumy closer to you, as I know how hard it is to travel so far to see a good doc. Unfortunalty the are not alot of rheumy's anywhere, and in Oklahoma even fewer than elsewhere. I would like to say if they try to send you to Dr. Schitz in OKC he is one of the worst docs I have ever had the misfortune to see. Anyways this is getting long, but I don't think you are alone in how you feel about Dr. Codding's office just being worried about their co-pay and more concerned about the money than the patient...... Hoping you all had a great day yesterday..........Kathi in OK

She spent 3 - 4 hours with me during that first appointment...after that I am lucky to see her for 5 minutes. I am asking her a question and she is backing out the door... sometimes she has sat down though but nothing has really changed - she gives me a shot of cortizone to get me through the bad day and says I'll send in the nurse and she'll give you your prescriptions and lab slip... At first someone used to explain my labs to me - now they are real basic and they just tell me no problems - I have seen notes on my labs over the past 2 years though that have said contact patient but no one ever has... I am glad that the base is willing to look for a new RA for me but I don't know how long that will take. I have asked for one before and nothing has happened - (last year when I had the problems with Dr C) (she doesn't like anyone questioning why you are on the meds you are on)... I will be glad though that it is in writing and that someday maybe someone will do something about it - the Doc I saw today seemed to care so maybe something will be done - she knew I was upset...I don't normally get emotional at appointments but today I was as close to tears that one can come to without crying... Thank you for the list of Docs though - maybe I will call a few and see if they take Tricare. God bless, Althea
