Guest guest
Cherie, Oh dear... sorry to hear about all that, especially the nurse being a nark!!! Interesting that you feel that you are close to the mark with the fills. I feel that I am near to that as well. But the bloody chocolate etc is far too easy to get down! I need to think about why I am eating before I put into my stupid mouth. I hope that you are OK today, nothing worse than being so ill that nothing stays down. Take it easy and do the sip sip sip business till you know your able to get it through. What a bugger to have gone through this, but how good is it going to be when it stabilises and you start to loose. Guest guest
Cherie, Me, and now the nurse, watching over you with those yummy wraps!! I am glad you got a bit of fill out. It is so easy in our desperate desire to be thin yesterday to get too tight, too soon, not eat properly and become ill. I think we all lean in that direction, once we get the band and start loosing, a bit is never enough, we want big losses regularly. Thank goodness the band will not let us go too far in the wrong direction. Pamper yourself today and try to eat soft foods to let your poor tummy recoup after it's ordeal. Take care of you, Maree
Guest guest
Cherie, By nature I gulp, one of the hardest things for me is to eat slowly. If you eat slowly, chew properly, your band will let you know when you have had enough 'before' it's too late. Stop eating immediately you feel the slightest bit full. If you push it, it will push back, as you have just learnt. I do hope you can get used to the fill and the signs the band sends. If you gulp your food quickly it's down before you know it and next thing you have that awful elephant on your chest. What agony. Also, just my suggestion, try staying away from anything at all doughie and see how you manage. Good luck, C U on Friday night. M. Just adding, because you newer girls would not have heard me say this, in the beginning I ate a frankfurt 'with' skin one morning, I was still ill three days later. So there, it takes days to recoup if you seriously do the wrong thing. Just thought I'd say so in case you're concerned you've been too ill too long. It depends how badly you treated your self to become ill initially. M.
Guest guest
Cherie... Isn't it interesting once we get a bit of fill and restriction. I have not got good restriction... but boy oh boy, things are not going down that well. I am trying to eat a little bit more often to see if that improves the overall weight loss problem or lack of loss!!! I have been having trouble with breakfast, well any food prior to about 11am. I find that once I have had a warm or hot coffee... things improve. This morning I tried again, yoghurt ~ no fruit ~ plain natural yoghurt. 2 mouthfuls and then it was stuck fast!!! So I sipped on a hot coffee, and all was well and was able to finish the tub of yoghurt about 1/2 an hour later. I had grilled fish last night, no sauce, and it also got a bit stuck if it was not chewed mindlessly for about 10 mins per mouthful ~ yes I exagerate ~ but, by the time you get through five mouthfuls, its cold and a bit dry, so I give up. I am finding that I definately need to stop myself from looking for food... old habits die hard I suppose. I am still opening the fridge and cupboard many times a day, but then move on because there is nothing there for me to eat. I am still looking for the chips, biscuits etc, but even if they are there for the kids, I tend to walk away... sheer determination and will power is the only thing still keeping me from eating them. I hope you get through today ok... sounds like you have had something blocking the way. Mel > >> > Cherie, By nature I gulp, one of the hardest things for me is to > eat > > slowly.
