Guest guest Posted February 20, 2012 Report Share Posted February 20, 2012 I have this too, I describe it as cold-burning -- like you said, like menthol -- along with muscle twitches and pins and needles. The burning and pins and needles are mostly in my legs, feet, and genitals; muscle twitches seem to be almost anywhere. I don't know what causes this, but neuropathy seems to be the only way to describe it. I know how uncomfortable it is. B-vitamins might be of some help. I used to take a slow release b-vitamin that provided some relief, but the benefit seemed to fade with time, maybe you'll have better luck though.Have you explained these symptoms to a neurologist? I never have as I got tired of going to doctors, but I wonder if they'd have at least some explanation of what causes this kind of burning.
