Guest guest
Have had a query re: lymes dx and wondered whether this is an 'issue' in the UK or not. Anyone who's had any experience in treating people, would love to know your protocol. Epidemilogically speaking, not sure if this is found in the UK or not?? Thanks in advance- MNIMH, AHG Vermont, USA
Guest guest
Hot spots are New Forest and Thetford forest UK. Different symptoms in Europe to USA - more neurologiacl than cardiovascular. Autumn peak reporting incidence - few months after summer exposure . Tetracycline initial treatment effective if prompt (as per USA protocol), chronic cases ( 1year or more) more difficult to resolve, Berberines effective. Guest guest
Hi I have only had the experience in treating Ehrlichia in horses. Basically I have used lots and lots of Echinacea and herbs supporting the joints such as turmeric. The major difficulty is when it affects the balance, which may prove lethal or at least very debilitating. Since a lot of antibiotics usually are prescribed by the vet I use probiotics to save the gutflora as best I can. I would go about treating humans in the same way - supportive treatment and enhancing the imunesystem.
