Hey This is the letter I sent to the FDA To the FDA Hi My name is Adam and I am here to report many side effects that I have had and with SSRIs. I am a 25 year old male who took low doses of SSRIs Lexapro for 2 months and then Luvox for 1 year, I was around 21-22 years old when I started. I weaned off the drugs and have been free of these Nasty evil SSRIs for over 2 and half to 3 years and still suffer flat emotions and awful sexual dysfunction called PSSD, post SSRI sexual dysfunction - numb genitals, joyless orgasm-muted orgasm,erectile problems,low sex drive, dull skin around the body. I am 100% sure this is not because of my anxiety problems considering I always had great sexual pleasure and

high sex drive when anxiety was at it's peak and I currently have barely any anxiety which is permanent neurological changes caused by SSRIS. I am 100% sure the persistent sexual side effects are from the SSRIs that should be banned or retested to see why they cause so many side effects, all they do is NUMB people and make them think there deppression or anxiety is better, for many of them. There are thousands of people on online groups who are suffering ''permanent sexual side effects'' months-years after quitting or weaning off these drugs and I am one young male who is in good shape and has no other health problems that can effect sexual health. What will you ''THE FDA'' do about this, it's is the truth however do you '' as an organization '' care enough to make a difference to help us victims . Imagine how it is for young people to have there sexual function taking away from them without them knowing or wanting.It's even sad for older people

however especially sad for males-females in there teens and twenties when sex should be at it's prime. It's like chemical castration in a way, it's criminal and it's not right . These drugs are bringing misery upon many people and something has to be done. All I want is the old me back with anxiety and sexual pleasure, and I will manage the anxiety with any means possible and will be happy if I never touch another anti deppressant again. I reported my loss to the FDA twice. The first time, back in the early '90s, I

received a letter back saying that they did not handle these kind of complaints.

The second time was after I learned to use a computer, in 2006, and learned

that, yes, now people ARE encouraged to report their side effects to them. That

time I found a form on line and filled it out:

After I sent it in to them, I received a very polite thank you letter. However,

I'm not sure where you can find the results of all this reporting, nor if it's

doing any good. I seem to recall Dr. Breggin, in one of his books (either

" Toxic Psychiatry " or " Medication Madness " , the ones I've read so far),

referring to the FDA as a " toothless watchdog " .

I DO think it is a good idea, though, for everyone in this group to report what

has happened to them.

One other group I reported my loss to was the CCHR. I KNOW some will say that

that organization has no value, and will dismiss it, because it is connected

with Scientology, but they HAVE been very instrumental in getting information

about psychiatry out to the public and I HAVE learned a lot from them.

(However, I have yet to see them speak out about the silent epidemic of sexual

dysfunction from psychiatric drugs.) You will find the CCHR " Psychiatric

I think it would be good if we all report our losses to ANY organizations that

might be able to get the word out.
