Guest guest
Hi all, I just got a call from my coordinator telling me that my labs have made a huge jump, and I have to have another liver biopsy either tomorrow or Friday. I just had a liver biopsy at the beginning of July to see if I needed to start treatment on the Hep C right away or not, but my lab numbers were stable. For those who don't know, I had a liver transplant in January of this year. They don't know if I'm going into rejection, or if it's the Hep C. If it's the Hep C, I have to start treatment right away. If it's rejection, I have to take more antirejection meds. I hope I don't have to go into the hospital if it's rejection. Last Tuesday, I reached over from the driver's seat to pick up my pills that fell on the floor under the passenger seat, and I heard a loud pop and it really hurt. I called my coordinator then, and she thought I popped a rib. I went to the doctor and there was no broken, cracked, or moved rib showing on the x-ray. The doctor said I just tore cartlidge and it is inflamed. It makes me wonder if that popping somehow injured the liver. I hope everybody is doing as well as can be, and keeping your spirits up and do what you have to do for yourselves and loved ones. Take care.
