The market for French to English medical translation

Hello,

I am currently putting together an ACCRE (aide à la création

d'entreprise) application to regularize my situation as a translator

in France. I have an undergraduate background in biochemistry and as

there isn't much translation demand from the pure sciences, I plan to

move toward specialization in medical translation.

I'm doing some market research for my application and would like to

get input from medical translators working in this language pair

(rates, types of projects, clients, amount of work, etc.) I'd also

appreciate knowing what dictionaries, documentation, software (besides

CAT), etc., are indispensable to start out with.
