Guest guest
hi, does anyone know anything that is helpful for hypremesis, that is feeling and being sick in pregnancy <not the usual normal morning sickness> but i don't really know very much about this unusual condition. none of the usual morning sickness remedies help. She is also salivating a lot of the time which, understandably, she finds rather distressing. the only remedies i know of for excess salivation are not the kind of herbs i would give to a pregnant woman! this is her second pregnancy. she suffered from the hypremesis in the first one but did not have the excess salivation. she also had gestational diabetes and they are testing her for that at the moment. she is concerned that if i give her a tea she won't be able to drink it because it will make her sick. i am going to give her some lycium berries which are good for morning sickness <though i'm not sure which kind> and diabetes so they seem right, and some nervines. any advice would be much appreciated, especially with the excess salivation, which is sticky, she says. something to break up the stickiness may help but i don't think that will get to the root of the problem. it is so difficult in pregnacy as there are so very very many contra- indications. thanking you lot in anticipation! peace, anna

Guest guest
thankyou for doing that for for me. controling the blood sugar levels and taking oats for steady release of carbos and the vitamins sounds good. she can't tolerate fennel or any herb teas in fact and she doesn't want ginger either unfortunately but she is interested in the Lycium fruit i thought would be an appropriate remedy. she has just started on some pills but i can't remeber what they are called. she said they help a little with the nausea but not the salivation, she thinks they may have some cannabis component but is not sure. anyways, i shall keep searching but in the way you suggested. thankx again for your help, anna slater, MNIMH, bristol .. > , the way to get the PC to search for you quickly is to put a subject > into the box above your email list
