Guest guest
Hi Ellen, I'm sending this to the list with a cc: to you, so your mailbox will get even more stuffed! Your suggestion is very worthwhile, & I'm hoping some of the people who just joined read this & get to know the options. We do have a summary feature with several people subscribed to it. To use this option at ONElist, one simply logs in, selects their subscribed list & changes the option. Then they get just headers, and for that reason I ask people to make the headers reflect contents. Otherwise, its a waste. Once someone wants to retrieve archives, which are done day by day, they just go to 'retrieve archives' & select the day(s) they want. Right now, archives can only be retrieved by dates, and not subjects or authors. So our list is a bit more limited than a full listserver. But its a good way to catch up, retrieve something you erased, or follow topics if the headers are used properly. Sorry to make this so drawn out & dull, but isn't that what we are supposed to do when we are doing 'what's good for someone else?' To draw this out even more, I'm used to the former Pain-L list, which had massive daily volume, and has been renamed 'Golem.' I also subscribe to some other massive lists, & really should setup filters to sort them out, but just keep up as best as I can. Kind wishes, Ken At 04:44 AM 5/7/98 +0000, you wrote: > > >Dear Ken, > Since so much of my mailbox is taken up by the daily e-mail I thought >I would reccomend a additional option for you to consider.
