Guest guest
Hi folks -- I've been meaning to write an introductory post but haven't had time yet. I will try to do so in the next few days. I saw the posts about anti-inflammatories, though and I thought it might be worth mentioning Arthrotec, which was approved by the FDA on December 23 of last year and has been on the pharmacy shelves in the US since late January. It contains an ingredient designed to prevent the gastrointestinal problems that NSAIDs can cause, and was specifically tested and approved for people with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis who have had stomach ulcers caused by other NSAIDs. If you haven't tried it, it might be worth asking your doctor about. It's manufactured by Searle Pharmaceuticals. I had gastritis for two years and Arthrotec knocked it out in ten days. It didn't do much for my fibromyalgia, unfortunately, but it has helped other people with fibro, including my 78-year-old mother who is out of bed for the first time in a decade.
