I'm on some other mutual support and education groups, and from what I've seen there, the fluctuations that occur between being chatty and depressing pretty much take care of themselves... frequently we just kind of talk about what's going on, and because our issues are a big part of our lives, they often come up, but not always as the main focus or in a totally depressing way, but then if someone develops a situation where they really need support, the focus can change quite quickly. Educational material is posted along with the chatting, and is often discussed in separate threads... Just my thoughts...
