Guest guest
Hi everyone, My partner, Jon told me that last night he woke in the middle of the night with awful aching pain in his shoulders and elbows - " it was right in the joints, and like my arms were weak " - and an incredible " lethargy " in his arms as though it took tremendous effort just to move them to a more comfortable position. On the one hand, he felt that it was a rather good opportunity to understand more what I live through every day ... on the other hand, he was reminded that some of the research has been hinting about the possible contagious nature of CFS between couples and close family members. I pray that he doesn't have CFS (at least, I would if I was religious) ... but I am glad that he has even a slightly better understanding of what every day of my life is like. He tells me now and then that I should quit smoking. He used to smoke and has stopped - but he keeps a pack in the glove box of the car unopened, " just in case I have an accident " . (ie. he gets so stressed out that he needs a smoke). My response to this has been, " well sweetheart <smiling ever-so-sweetly> I guess I smoke because every single f---ing day of my life is like a car accident. " Anyone relate? Hugs, Kit.
