Guest guest
Hi matt, improvements should come soon...or may stay. please wait before taking any new medication; wellbuterin might also loss of libido. give time a chance; and for sure dont make her start taking pills again, as the have a high chance of ruining things more (on a sexual level). and for one, dont trust the person prescribing the stuff. they have been educated to make a living out of prescribing the stuff that ruined many sexual lives. if the sexual problems will remain; for sure your wife's psych will tell you her loss of libido and genital numbness will not have been caused by the pills, but by her current psych. state. please let him know this is absolutely not the case.(nail him by the balls instead!) greets, Sebastiaan > > Wife was taking Celixa 20mg/day for two years and had genital anisesia and zero libito. She finially agreed to try keeping off and has been off for about three weeks. Should she expect to see improvement sooner rather then later? She thinks her change might be permenent and worries that I'll not stick around with her mood swings and no sexual healing! Her mood swings are far better off of Celexa! Her doctor wanst to put her on Wellbuterin and says that is not and SSRI. >
Guest guest
I've been off of Zoloft for 6 months now and have been taking generic Wellbutrin, Bupropion 150 mg for a month now and I can't say I have noticed any improvement in my sexual function. I'm still numb sexually with near zero libido, no morning wood, trouble getting and maintaining erections etc. I keep reading about Wellbutrin causing hypersexuality and I wouldn't mind this side effect, but it hasn't happened so far. Good luck to you and your wife. > > Wife was taking Celixa 20mg/day for two years and had genital anisesia and zero libito. Guest guest
In the 11 months that I've been a member of this group, I have learned a lot about PSSD, yet no one can really say if your wife will improve sooner rather than later. I can share my experience. My genital anesthesia and zero libido continued for almost 3 1/2 years. There was no improvement just with the passage of time. Once I joined this group and learned others were having success with supplementation, my mood swings and anhedonia (both very severe) improved once I started on fish oil 1000 mg 3 times a day. More improvements once I added Vitamin D 2000 mg/day. Genital anesthesia improved a bit with lots of herbs recommended by a Dr. Lin in Florida. You can read some of my previous posts for more information. The drug that gave me such severe problems (both sexual and moodiness) was Lexapro and I have a friend who had the same severe moodiness (she hasn't shared with me whether or not she has genital anesthesia). Sounds like celexa has given your wife similar problems. My friend and I have talked in depth about how hard the moodiness has been and the effects it has had on our relationship with our husbands. It is very hard to deal with. What has been helpful for me is knowing that my mood swings and sexual dysfunction are NOT MY FAULT and that there are many others dealing with the same situation. Wishing you healing - Hikergal > > Wife was taking Celixa 20mg/day for two years and had genital anisesia and zero libito.
