Guest guest Posted September 18, 2003 Report Share Posted September 18, 2003 I am not sure this is the best place to ask this question or not but I have noticed a trend among several of my friends and wanted to know if anyone else has heard of the same thing: I have 5 friends who are on HAART their viral loads started to go back up and T cells drop (they where undetectable). All 5 of them where prescribed Deca for one reason or another and they all went back to undetectable viral loads, and a maj. increase in T cells. Has anyone else seen such a phenomena, or is it coincidence. Is this an effective move to maybe draw out the effectiveness and the life of a HAART regiment? Is there any literature or studies printed that deal with anabolics as immune enhancers. If I would really appreciate links or abstracts. I am also HIV+ and currently in nursing school, I would appreciate any help on this because it would interest to do a paper on.
