Guest guest
The problem I have is that, because I am so numb, I can't tell when I need to urinate. The worst times have been at night, when I may be in the midst of a dream, and I ignore the pressure in my abdomin for too long. Then, after I finally get up, I will ache for sometimes HOURS, and not be able to get back to sleep because I'm so uncomfortable. This happens on long car trips too, sometimes, when I start feeling the pressure and am not able to get to a restroom in time. The urologist I saw years ago (in the early '90s), when I had a bunch of tests, told me that I should try not to go too often because it might shrink my bladder and I would need to constantly go often. I try not to drink too many liquids before I go to bed. However, this morning I woke at 4:00 with very strong pressure. After that I lay awake for 2 hrs, just trying to get comfortable and trying to be quiet while doing that so I would not wake my husband. Does this sound in any way familiar to you also?
