Guest guest
Have you got a lawyer? It seems to me they are pulling out the big guns with looking into his medical records. I would also call my DAN doc and tell him/her to stop cooperating until you can talk to a lawyer. Once this information is " out there " there is no telling how they could use it against you. They have lawyers. You need to get one ASAP if you don't already. I can't imagine why CPS needs to be involved in this. Is your child severely underweight or in some other way obviously looking abused? CPS has limitations on what they can do, and it looks like the district might be improperly using CPS to intimidate you. I'm not a lawyer, so I don't know. I'd get one yesterday if I were you. There are red flags all over the place. They are playing hardball, and you don't want to fight them without help. Guest guest
I would not dare let the CPS have my son's medical records. Sounds like they are trying to figure out a way to cause more problems for you. DO not let them have your son's medical records. OT Biomedical help HI!!! When my son developed TIC's a few months ago I started biomedical intervention with a DAN doctor. My son also has Autism, Crohn's and Arthritis. We are doing SCD (specific Carbohydrate diet and suppliments including b-12 shots) diet. Because of the biomedical intervention my son's TIC's great diminished and it is hard for some people to believe he ever had a problem even though we have various doctor's report to the contrary. My school district does not believe my son needs intervention or accommodations for Autism. Because we are going to fair hearing with the School district, the school district reported me to Child Protective services. We, recently, got a report by independent Neuro Pschologist that says he needs services. As far as we could determine from our discussions with Child Protective services there concerns seem to focus that we are over the top in following the advise of a DAN doctor. In doing, the intervention in the book under the guidance of our DAN doctor. We gave permission to CPS to contact our DAN doctor about the intervention we are doing with our son. After, we signed the permission form, she added a request for all of his medical records. One or two of these we would prefer to keep private. Our concerns are they are not contacting the DAN doctor directly but only want the records so there own doctor can look at the records and determine if the tests and treatments are appropriate for our son. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Please, e-mail me. thank you, Charla Many frequently asked questions and answers can be found at <http://forums.autism-rxguidebook.com<http://forums.autism-rxguidebook.com/>>

Guest guest
Charla, As if having a sick child isn't bad enough, there are those out there who then try to stop us from helping our children!! A few years ago I had a situation something like this. My DAN! doctor wrote letters to CPS and the school district. It wasn't the school district who initiated the report but a Medical/Mental Health person but believe me our DAN! was a GODsend!!!! Perhaps your's would be willing to do the same.
