Guest guest
Hi Helen and Vikki,I recently did some research on this topic: For storage: http://www.snappiescontainers.com/ and use the colostrum sized ones.I recommend that you have about 15 mls saved up. I'm really happy about finding this resource, although I am a little surprised you have to buy 100 for 17$A fullterm newborn baby has a stomach size of about about 20 mls (according to Dr Nils Bergman in his book, Holding Your Prem, New Voices Publishing 2010), just a little more than a tablespoon (15 mls). -This means offering your baby about 10 mls if a supplement is needed, should be more than adequate and still keep her interested in nursing. Some reading: http://home.ca.inter.net/~jfisher/docs/Ethical_BFR_-Sue_.pdf Of course pregnancy hormones reduce the ability to get much by way of results.
