Guest guest
Have had some success with Calendula soaks and Potter's thuja ointment, but took ages; is your patient after a quick fix or will she stick it for a while? My patient put the thuja ointment on a plaster, so constant contact, and it speeded up somewhat. Also, what about Ti-tree? Guest guest
Alison, she will stick to it, I'd say, but is starting to feel a bit low about her health - what do you mean by it taking ages? Weeks? It is quite sore, and she uses that hand for writing. , how did you make that plaster - hot wet cloth around mashed garlic & slipp elm paste?? How often did you need to repeat it? Many thanks for your replies! Guest guest
Last Thursday? Hmm, not very long for your treatment to start working. Why the hot soak? I would be little worried that would further weaken the tissues and would add calendula to the paint perhaps although golden seal is very fine. Calendula does have a powerful effect of strengthening the tissues as wella s its strong antibiotic activity, and it's surprising what you can do with a strong ointment or fresh juice (when you can get it) The only things I have found so far that don't respond were impetigo (the oil just spread it but tincture is fine) and some eczemas (not cooling enough?) Guest guest
Sally, hot soak (with sea salt) worked well for a previous patient with ingrown infected toenail, and was actually also recommended by his chiropodist. Also mentioned in Merck's manual for paronychia Pt is going to use a strong calendula infusion to make up the Slipp Elm & garlic plaster - but maybe i should also add some Calendula Tr (90% & 25% I was thinking) to the paint. Many thanks for your reply! Sabine Re: Help! - Paronychia Last Thursday? Hmm, not very long for your treatment to start working. Why the hot soak? Guest guest
Hi Sabine Has diabetes been ruled out fully? Helen Re: Help! - Paronychia > > > Last Thursday?
