Guest guest Posted April 18, 2006 Report Share Posted April 18, 2006 Hi Libby I had planned to take one week off work, but in the event my surgery was more complex than expected (because of adhesions), and took twice as long as usual. I needed a full two weeks off from work to recover, mainly from the anaesthetic I think, it really knocked me around. Remember this is major surgery even if it is keyhole and you need to allow yourself enough recovery time. I'd had a laparoscopy in the past and was fine in a couple of days, so I was surprised by my experience this time. How was the appointment with Roy? Are you doing Optifast? Have you seen Mandy (dietician) yet? If you can't tolerate the taste of the Optifast you can substitute it with the Tony Ferguson shakes...much tastier and easier to handle!
