As much as I was looking foward to the convention......That weekend is the

end of school by me in the Norhteast......Is anyone else facing this dilema

besides me? We would be planning on driving down and yet the kids cant miss the

last day of school......I dont know any thoughts?

IMDSA is proud to announce our upcoming MDS awareness convention. The staff at

the Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond, Virginia, USA, have

graciously allowed us to hold our convention on their grounds. VCU conducts

ongoing research on mosaic Down syndrome, and we are happy to be a part of that

research.

The convention will be held on June 25-27, 2004. We are still in the process of

setting up speakers and obtaining discounts for our members at the surrounding

hotels. This and convention registration information will be released at a later

date.

Please plan to be at this historic event! We look forward to meeting each of you

there!

Sincerely,

Kristy Colvin

IMDSA President

Is there any way that you could leave on Friday evening? Our Friday is going to

be a get together and the Saturday will be when speakers will talk.

I agree that missing the last day of school would be hard. We were given 3

weekends to choose from and the other two options were Father's day weekend and

Fourth of July weekend. We certainly didn't want it on either of those weekends.

I hope that you will be able to work this out. I really want to meet you and

your family!
