Hi Csl

SHBG 36- nmol/L 17-66

FSH- 7 U/L 1-12

prolactin 7 pmol/l 4-15

Thyroid 3,39 Mu/L 0,27-4,20

i take synthroid for my hypothyrodism.

I ask my endrocologist if my testosteron is normal for a 24 year old and he's

says yes it's fine. Apparently giving bio identicale testosterone for a young

male can cause infirtility , what do you think, even dr goldstein told me that

over the phone.I think most docs are afraid to experiment with Trt .Does

testosterone have anything to do with sexual sensations or just sex drive and

motivation.

Best, Adam

You can increase testosterone like I did by taking the following for up to 6 months: Zinc Picolinate 50mg daily, Vitamin D3 5000IU daily, Mucuna Pruriens, Magnesium Citrate 200mg twice a day. also increased his testosterone level by taking Zinc Picolinate 50mg daily for many months.

What is the reference range for your Cortisol, because high cortisol can reduce testosterone.

I think your estradiol is okay. Your SHBG is fine.

Yes listen to your doctor and Dr Goldstein about not doing TRT at your age.

Are you sure your Free Testosterone is measured in nmol/L ? Is it by any chance measured in ng/dl ? Because compared with the numbers below, your free testosterone number looks more like it is measured in ng/dl.

As you can see in the chart below, your total testosterone for someone your age on average is around 22 - 24 nmol/L, but your total testosterone number is 14.4 nmol/L, and your lab's reference range is 8.4-28.7.

Male Androgen Levels in an Unhealthy Population

Depending on the lab your doctor uses, male testosterone levels typically range between 250ng/dl and 850 ng/dl.

As you may well imagine, these ranges are not set to optimal levels. They are a cross section of men aged 20 to 100; many sick and diseased, from a lifetime of unhealthy habits.

So when your blood work arrives and your doctor refuses treatment due to your "normal" testosterone levels, when it's actually somewhere closer to the bottom of the range, then a gentle reminder of optimal health may be in order.

If you kindly point out you have the T levels of a sick 90 year old, maybe he/she will come around.

Emphasize Low Testosterone Symptoms

If your doctor is stubborn, or doesn't like their patients being active participants in their own healthcare... you may be better off emphasizing your symptoms that are more specific to low testosterone.

Noting a loss of sex drive, development of impotence, or reduced muscle mass and strength should give any knowledgeable doctor a red flag that T levels aren't on par.

Depression, fatigue, and loss of motivation are also commonly caused by low testosterone. Unfortunately many doctors would rather prescribe an antidepressant than bring back to normal a natural substance your body already makes.

Csl

I have Mucana Pruriens however I heard it can be dangerous to take.

My Cortisol Level is 465 --pmol/L 0-146. I thought you did hormnone

replacement . Can the low testosterone cause genital numbness and loss of

orgasm.

Peace, Adam

Since your Cortisol Level is 465 --pmol/L and your lab's reference range is 0-146, then your cortisol is high. High cortisol can cause reduced or low testosterone. You said your endocrinologist said your blood test results are fine, but how can they be fine with such a high cortisol of 465 which is outside of the lab's reference range of 0 - 146 ? Please check and confirm your cortisol result and the lab's reference range for cortisol.

Can you speak to Dr Goldstein about your blood test results?

In the past I took Herbal Powers, Mucuna Pruriens, 1 capsule, three times per day, and did not experience any adverse effects. Herbal Powers' Mucuna Pruriens is also a natural, human growth hormone secreatague.

Yes reduced testosterone levels can cause sexual problems and so can the high cortisol.

No, I've never undergone TRT.

Since your cortisol is high and outside of the lab's reference range, then you need to do a 4 x salivary cortisol test (this is the most accurate test for cortisol), whereby you spit saliva into a seperate tube, 4 times per day.

Do you have other symptoms of high cortisol ?
