Guest guest
Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I do feel, however, that I am in a better position than many on the list...and yes, I do feel I wish I could take some of your pain on my self and give you a relief. I am doing reading about Fibro myalgia right now. I am wondering if I have this, too. It seems my treatments may not be working that well and I need a different approach. I am currently on Paxil and Ansaid (Flurbiprophen) and Atenolol and a diuretic for high blood pressure. I can function slowly most of the time, but when the cyadic (sp?) nerve goes, whoosh! It's worse than labor....and I had a long labor. I've had a terrrible toothache before..going right through the root of my tooth into my jaw...that's the only way I can describe an enflamed cyadic nerve. A giant toothache in my rear end that can't decide if it's going to burn, throb or ache, so it does all three. , where are you in Indiana? My grandmother was born in Warren county. My grandmother's grandfather married a Miami Indian woman and his family were settlers there. (1800's) Peace, Penny (a Seattle transport from Upstate New York.) " You cannot do wrong and feel right. Guest guest
I would like to say to everyone that it is nice to know I am not alone in this...... Penny, I live in ville, Indiana. It is about 30 miles SW of Indianapolis. I did get the results back from my bone marrow test. It was not good. It showed I also have abnormalities with my white cells too. The Dr. ordered a bunch more blood work but gave no definite dx. I have been on the pain patch since last Wed. They said I won't realize the full effect until about 24 hours after I change it the first time. I changed it yesterday and I am starting to feel a little better. I go back to Pain clinic on Wed. so if I am still in much pain they will increase the dosage. I go back to Cancer Center on June 8 to get my dx from all these tests. I have got to tell you, I have been very worried. I just need to know what I am up against here. It has been hard enough dealing with the FMS/CFIDS/MPS/RLS and the list goes on. Then to make at all worse, my Dad is in the hospital with congestive heart failure. I have been spending every minute I can there with him. With all the added stress I can't help wonder if I will be to realize this pain patch full potential. I do beleive I am starting to notice a little change in my pain level though. Please keep my Dad and me in all your prayers.
Guest guest
Ruth, I feel I should apologise to you and the list. I went back to find your original post but for a change I had remembered to empty the trash. I do not recall seeing any mention of your son's asthma or I certainly would not have ridiculed your attempts to find relief for him. I am on other lists for other medical problems and am constantly inundated with offers that will fix that and everything else you can think of. I think these people lurk on the lists and wait for a post from someone who sounds fearful or unsure of themselves. Then they pounce. Once again my apologies..... Now that I have that out of the way....I have had asthma for 10 years and have noticed in the last year that I have a sensitivity to perfumes....but only in the morning.....especially if I'm in the bank or someplace where there a several different scents....I have to leave feel like I'm going to choke... almost like I can taste it... anyone know why this is? bren == I'm not having hot flashes; they're power surges!
