It seems to me that in French " fenêtre aorto-pulmonaire " (or

" aortico-pulmonaire " ) has different two meanings, while the literal

equivalent in other languages has only one.

E.g. an " aorto-pulmonary window " is a septal defect (fistula) between the

aorta and the truncus pulmonalis. This meaning can be intended also by the

French expression, but in my context (and in several Google findings) it

rather seems to signify the topographic region between the aortic arch and

the pulmonary arteries.

Firstly: am I right in this last interpretation? Secondly: what is the name

for this in other languages (e.g. English, German, Dutch, Italian.

Naturally, as my target is Swedish, a suggestion in one of the Scandinavian

languages might be even better)?

My context is a report of a Thorax CAT scan. There are no indications at all

of the patient having any septal defect.

" Adénopathies médiastinales péri-centimétrïques para-trachéales droites, de

la fenêtre aorto-pulmonaire et sous carinaire. "
