Guest guest
I spent over $200 on Lin's products and got no benefit. He is not a real medical doctor so I don't know why he refers to himself as a " doctor " . He is simply a salesman with a degree in engineering. I take what he says with a pinch of salt. e.g. I used to believe his ramblings about PSSD being due to hyperprolactinemia (high prolactin) but after I got my blood test results I had low normal prolactin, not high prolactin as Lin gave as the reason for PSSD. Also I once e-mailed him many years ago about one of my testicles suddenly becoming double the size of the other (because I really believed he was a doctor) and he wrote back that it is normal and nothing to worry about. I found his answer strange so went and saw a real doctor who examined me and said I had a hydrocele, which I could see for myself when he shone a light under my testicle. Please don't take to heart what the salesman Lin says so as not to make yourself needlessly depressed. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I wonder if there is any Docter, Neuroscientist etc that know the reason/theory why these drugs cause the awful loss of sensation ''numbness'' in the genitals and skin, what is the mechanism of action. Can low testosterone cause numbness in the genitals and in other areas of the body. I don't think so . > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
After reading these postings about genital anesthesia I got to wondering if the following could be related to what caused my PSSD. I previously assumed that since I also developed some movement disorders just prior to realizing I had developed the sexual dysfunctions and since I was taking anti-psychotic called Abilify at same time as antidepressants that I just assumed that the numbness on skin elsewhere from genitals was due to anti-psychotic--since the numbness was notice at same time as movement disorders and since there is a long history of movement disorders being associated with antidepressants.I experienced patches of skin, all over my body, that feel partially numb, beginning just prior to realizing the sexual dysfunctions that fit the classic descriptions of PSSD--while taking the same psychiatric medications that I aassociatewith my PSSD--including taking the two antidepressants, Zoloft and Remeron, at same time-. And, about two weeks after the numbness began, I began to experience iintenseitching-tickling sensations, on these same patches of skin. Has anyone else experienced anything ssimilarlyShaun--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Subject: Re: SSRI genital anesthesiaTo: SSRIsex Date: Wednesday, December 7, 2011, 3:03 PMMaybe. I think SSRIs also increase the dopamine transporter (DAT) so you have more dopamine being cleared from the synapse. In other words, the opposite of what happens to serotonin.> > > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > > > I wonder if there is any Docter, Neuroscientist etc that> know the reason/theory why these drugs cause the awful loss of sensation> ''numbness'' in the genitals and skin, what is the mechanism of action.> Can low testosterone cause numbness in the genitals and in other areas> of the body.
