I would try homeopathic phytolacca as well as the castor oil compresses, but

when a mom has the kind of issues she is presenting with, I am most interested

in the possibility of iodine deficiency.

ultrasound treatments the plug resolved. Now, several weeks later it has

returned. Additional information: nursling is 2 1/2 years old and still nurses

often during the day and some at night, supply drops with ovulation, frequent

plugged ducts just before ovulation and cycle, this time the plug appeared just

before ovulation and coinciding with a lowered dose of astralagus and echinacea,

only a partial plug this time but it seems to be in the same place.

for distinguishing solid breast lumps from cysts, galactoceles and abscesses -

is that right?

I am curious as to why an iodine deficiency in a case of plugged ducts

like this? I, personally, feel like I am seeing more cases of

recurrent plugged ducts, mastitis than I did as a fresh LLL leader and

some of these women are desperate enough to try anything. I don't

have confidence that the docs in my area could palpate differences in

various ducts/tissues. It seems to me that there must be something

wrong, lifestyle-wise or diet-wise that we are just missing. It can't

be normal for these moms to have a lecithin deficiency, so I'm

wondering what it could be...
