Guest guest
I agree with Colleen. We have plenty of room. We use only a small portion of the brain area available. When I was in college, I was a tutor for a number of classes. As a tutor, I was invited to a number of seminars related to how we learn. One of the things which really impressed itself up on me was this little story. Learning things is like make tracks like animals make in the forest or other wild areas. They usually use the same track every time. When we hear something we try to associate it with something else we have heard before, until the " path " to that area becomes a track which is easy to follow. It is like we have ruts all over our brain to this related information. Numbers are in one area. Music in another. Each has its own major rut, with smaller ruts running to more specialized sub areas within the large area. I think when we get older unless we have had brain damage, it isn't the memories we lose, but rather the tracks get indistinct, making it hard to access that information.
