May not be the answer, but a patient of mine with sarcoidosis, I treated

with Coriolus-MRL, when she came off the steroids. Her x-ray and breathing

tests showed more improvement with the Corioulus than the steroids. The

patient has been taking these capsules for a year now, and although the

sarcoidosis is still there, except for the tiredness she feels well.

aha. i've been trying to track down coriolus versicolor - a pt. was given

it by an orthodox medic. and my internet searrch didn't reveal enough

information and Dedj couldn't help from the Chinese perspective - anybody

know any more about it?

and can anyone recommend a decent book on medicinal mushrooms please,

written from a herbal perspective, not loads of odd clinical trials which

don't add up to a whole picture, before i spend all my money at amazon.

thanks

Dear nne.

I purchase my Coriolus from Mycology Research Laboratories Ltd, Bank House,

Brough, Humberside.HU15 1EF tEL 01482 667 634 . They are 50p cheaper than anyone

else. Also available from Neals Yard. The web site which is reasonable is

www.aneid.pt and also www.mycologyresearch.com which I did not find a great deal

on. I have found Medicinal Mushrooms by Hobbs , published by

Botanica Press, ISBN 1-57067-143-5 however the book was published in 1986, so I

think things may have moved on. Gives the botany, nutritional values,

monographs of 28 mushrooms, history and use.

There do not appear to be many books printed on this subject.

Best wishes, Tina.

If you contact Pam Bull at the college of Phytotherapy, she will send

you a list of back issues, which has a good list of contents. They

also publish interesting papers on a wide range of conditions,

reasonably priced.
