In response to your comment:

" girls in some way do not seem to have that urge we male (used to) feel "

I have this question to ask to the males in this group:

In your experience, when you have found a female who meets this description, is

this female per chance on birth control pills?

I'd also like to ask the women of the group who have been on birth control pills

if you had noticable changes in your sexuality before and after going on the

pill.

I strongly believe after all my research that birth control pills (and possibly

other medications) cause women to lose their sexuality, and that normal healthy

women do indeed have strong sexual urges.

Birth control pills have been around for over 50 years. I often read articles

that state that women's sexuality is " so complicated " , but I theorize that it is

really not that complicated.

My theory is that they are comparing apples to oranges, that is women who are

normal and healthy are being compared to women who have been hormonally altered

and have decreased sensation or total lack of sensation.

I'm sure that many men have found sex partners who are very sexual. Now that

could be because they are faking it or it could be that they have been lucky

enough to avoid birth control pills and have totally normal sexual function.

I was researching the most recent birth control pill that I had been on

" estrostep. " http://www.wcrx.com/products/estrostep/

It included a section that said:

The following adverse reactions have been reported in patients receiving oral

contraceptives and are believed to be drug-related:

and included in the list of symptoms was MENTAL DEPRESSION.

Also it said:

The following adverse reactions have been reported in users of oral

contraceptives and the association has been neither confirmed nor refuted: and

included in the list was CHANGES IN LIBIDO.

I bet there is a reason this is not " confirmed nor refuted. " They probably know

it causes sexual dysfunction but of course don't want to come right out and say

so!

It makes me so MAD!!!! I was robbed of my sexuality and I'm sure that countless

other women have been as well.

And the fact that it is admitted that birth control pills CAUSE DEPRESSION, yet

my doctors never mentioned this to me, especially when I was a young teenager 17

years old and was put on birth control pills JUST TO REGULATE MY PERIODS!

Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a tangent! I just think that birth control pills

are as evil as antidepressants and think that it should be common knowledge to

everyone that they do more harm than good (besides for being good for population

control).

Thank you for anyone who is willing to respond to my questions!

always suspected it had something to do with fluexentine, but I ignored it.

Then I met a girl, a month or two after I stopped taking it - of course we all

know what happens next - Then it got more chronic, my libido had gone into

shock. I was so tense about sex after this. Because I was always suffering

from depression, I wen't back to my doc who put me on citalopram. They really

helped with my mental state becasue I was having a break down at this point.

The girl cheated on me and my doc insisted my problem was mind over matter. 3

years later I was refered to a sexologist, she was helpful and reassured me it

was nothing physical and gave me some cialis, which has helped sometimes but not

all the time. I just get so stressed and terrified when it comes to sex now,

that I reckon it's a combination of the ssri's and my stress. It was definitley

the fluexentine that started it off. Sometimes I can get a decent erection but

it's not very often. Sex is painful and embarrising. I've been in love a few

times and I have to walk away becasue I lack sexual feelings. I hope it gets

better and I hope everyone else does too, it's the worst pain I've ever known.

Birth Control Pill Could Cause Long-Term Problems With Testosterone, New Research Indicates

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/35663.php

Review for Now Foods, Nettle Root Extract, Stinging, 250 mg, 90 Vcaps:

(quote) " not just for men From California

I've switched contraceptives recently from hormone based pill to a non hormone IUC. I had great lack of sexual desire and intimacy(Due to the pill). I wanted to get my hormones back to normal quickly. Did some research on why and how the pill could inhibit libido. Too much estogen increases Sex Binding Hormone Globulin (SHBG) levels inhibiting women's free form testosterone. Then I looked up herbs that can counteract and reduce SHBG levels. Stinging Nettle Root Extract was the safest bet. I began taking it in early Ausgust starting at 2 caps daily then to 3 caps. My desire for intimacy increased within a week and I welcomed my fiance's simplest touch when for a long time I didn't! I want to add that my now free testosterone has abled me to burn off some stuborn fat! So I would recommend this to other women who are experiencing similiar hormonal difficulties. "

Wow! Thank you so much for posting this. It was the most informative article

I've read thus far supporting my theory that I must be one of MANY women who

have been completely screwed up because of birth control pills!
