I suspect, too, that there is a kind of filter in most of us reading this list that spoons the posts in silky liquid form through a CGJ cheesecloth (muslin?)... I was watching a circling redtailed hawk one summer, and it dropped a pinion feather -- down down down, a spiraling to the earth. Landed practically at my feet. I have it still. In Egypt -- as you well know -- there is the falcon so revered. The Young Horus. Strong, ambitious, mighty. Hawks don't tease. They kill to eat.
