I am a new member to this group.

My 7 year old ASD boy (always on CFGF) has had chronic constipation

for years.

He is on supplements (CSB Book) and GSE. Our Peadiatric GI Doc

suggested a biopsy to see any blockage or inflammation. I am not

sure about GI Biopsy and its impact on ASD and also would like to

know anybody in this group has done it.

We are planning to put our kid on Diflucan (he has little yeast)

and Flagyl.Could Flagyl cause constipation and I also would like

to know what is activated charcoal and its application.

Thanks

Kumar

Our daughter had a biopsy of her intestine during an endoscopy. No side effects

- no problems.

Kumar,

Many kids off this list have had upper and lower GI scopes through Dr

Krigsman and biopsies are confirming a specific kind of entercolitis,

that apparently only shows up in asd kids. The goal of the scoping is to

determine what may be causing chronic non-typical symptoms, like

constipation or GI pain. Many kids are doing better now that they have

been scoped and then put on anti-inflammatory medicine. Our son is one

of the tougher cases since he has not been able to tolerate any of the

meds yet, but we are working on it. Overall, I think a high majority of

the parents that had their kids scoped are very happy that they did it.

PS Activated charcoal helps alleviate die off symptoms from diflucan or

other anti-fungals.

The g.I problems stem from a. mercury , and b live virus[measles] I LIED [yes I

did for our kids] I noted amoung veterans they all had g.i /gut problems. I

called the V.A. and said I was a med student. They hooked me up with research

and admitted the measles and colitis connection. Problem is vit-a is a cure for

measles but in too high amts. can cause brain swelling. Cutler has a protocol

for that but I have no first hand experience to offer you.
