Guest guest
I have used 20 mg paxil and 0.5 mg risperdal due to social phobia and anxiety for 2 years.I tapered off and quit the drug with no big problems and waited for sometime for the sexual side effects to diminish. After being paxil-free, i faced decrased libido and arousal problems. It was hard to have an erection and my response to erotic texts & pictures were low compared to pre-paxil but despite everything, i was able to have sexual intercourse anyway so get used to the lame situation. But my sexual problems got worse day by day and i am having severe erectyl problems after 12 months of paxil withdrawl. I can get an erection but it is either not hard enough for an intercourse or die away so fast. the doctor i have visited, was so sure about the positive outcomes of the paxil and never undermined any negatif side effects besides the TEMPORARY weight gaining and sexual dysfunction. All the doctors and friends i met are totally unaware of the PSSD. It is pretty frustrating to hear from the doctors that there is no scientific data about the permanent sexual side effects of SSRI anti-depressants; all the side effects are temporary and you need some time to recover . . . I visited an andrology-urology professor and not surprised that he never heard such a thing like PSSD. He did some tests and said everthing is ok and advised me some multivitamin gnc-anginmax for men. That's all.(my blood tests and testosteron levels were ok but sperm tests were bad) - i heard that some people use requip to handle the problems and i have seen quite a few body builders with erectyl dysfunction use proviron and tamoxifen to recover (sexual dysfunction after steroid use).
