He has been on MB12 for 1 1/2 years. We do the injections. We had side effects for the first 4-6 months that can best be described as extremely overly emotional and hyper with stimming. Per Dr. Neubrander, these side effects are to be expected because the child is literally feeling things he has not felt since the time of the environemental insult. Over time, gained awareness, speech, recovered IQ (from borderline MR to above age level) and cold sensation (before he was never cold). We had to put him on zinc monomethionine in order to tolerate the MB12. Also folate, selenium and taurine. He had been on TMG, but could not tolerate both TMG and MB12 so we stopped the TMG. My son did not tolerate folinic at all. It made him way out spacey and he even developed a tic which went away when we stopped. We tried folinic a second time and

it still did not go well. We may try a third this summer. Veraadree23 wrote: > For any parent's of recovered kids: Does MB12 have to be taken> forever?
