Possibility 1: the prehistoric mammals are extinct. So could we be someday

if we don't learn to move beyond conscious attitudes that classify groups as

" outsiders " .

Possibility 2: prehistoric mammal fossils as symbols of the collective

unconscious archetypal behavior exhibited in the father/daughter soap opera.

Jung wrote that the family " soap operas " played out around the world over the

centuries in family after family repeat the same patterns over and over,

just like the TV shows...

Just some idea " seeds " , FWIW.

Kurt, thank you for your insights into my dream. When I said " bizzare " ,

it *was* of course the fossils that I meant.

Both possibilities ring bells with me. I am studying the nature of the

tyrant-victim complex - and have had to come face to face with the

Hitler shadow in myself (unpleasant for anyone, but especially a Jewess

and political liberal). Hence the interchange of personalities between

myself as the observing student and the daughter in the TV show.

Being unable to name the animals, and the fact that my supervisor

couldn't either, and that they were so old - seemed to suggest that

there are depths beneath the depths we have already plummeted. Your

comments have helped tremendously.

Last night I dreamt of the eclipse, btw.
