Guest guest
Any Inositol updates?? how is it doing after 3-4 weeks? To: SSRIsex Sent: Mon, 11 April, 2011 6:18:31 PMSubject: Re: Finally cured after 2 years of hell I just bought some of this. I had noticed a little bit of improvement taking inositol and choline but I was only taking 500 mg of inositol a day. So here's what I'm curious about. Is PSSD caused by desensitization of serotonin receptors then? I always hear serotonin is bad for sexuality... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Background about me: I'm a 27 year old male. I was put onPaxil for social anxiety disorder. After a few months, I found it really hard to orgasm. I was having marathon sex sessions with my wife. I went off the Paxil in March of 2009 (after a total of 8 months on it) and since then I've noticed that it takes me forever to get aroused. I've also been hit with extreme premature ejaculation, loss of libido and interest in sex. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > After trying a few products mentioned by people here that didn't work, I decided to look at the matter scientifically. PSSD is most likely caused by persistent desensitization of 5-HT1A receptors. After doing some research on substances that reverse desensitization of these receptors I stumbled across inositol, a naturally occuring sugar in our bodies. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I've been on 18 grams of inositol once daily at bedtime for the past 7 weeks and few days (Jan 24/2011 to March 16/2011) and I am happy to say that my interest in sex has returned, my erections are back to normal, and my premature ejaculation has returned to how it was before I went on Paxil. Never will I touch an SSRI again. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I hope this will help anyone who is still trying to get rid of this horrible peoplem. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Greg > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Inositol has been the worst thing I've ever taken for PSSD. Maybe it works for you, but it made things worse for me. Guest guest
thats interesting. this shows how different we all might be. even though we all have pssd, yet we respond different to supplement. for me, its very mixed. It sometimes worked and it sometimes didnt, its very confusing and mysterious. I just dont feel comfrotabl when I take large sum of inositol though. have you guys tried smaller doses ? When it worked for me, it was always the first dose and the effect wears off kind of like coffee. This is what I notice, I become happy and exicted. but somtimes it just makes me sleepy. and tired. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Background about me: I'm a 27 year old male. Guest guest
I tried but I couldn't tolerate 18g. I felt like sleeping all day, I could hardly keep my eyes open, it was horrible. I lowered it to 12g but it wasn't much better and then I tried 10g and I still felt tired. I might try 6g a day in the future. The only positive thing was that I dreamt and remembered the dreams in detail. One of those dreams was sexual, which at least gives me some hope. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Background about me: I'm a 27 year old male. Guest guest
Greg, can you be sure that it was (only?) inositol that worked for you? It's a bit confusing because some months before you reported you were 'almost back to normal' and you related it to trazodone: http://health.dir.groups.yahoo.com/group/SSRIsex/message/18515 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Background about me: I'm a 27 year old male. Guest guest
I have used inositol+chloe on few occasions. I saw immediate results within two days. Everytime I used was a bout a 2 weeks cycle. The duration between each cycle was different. 1 or 2 months. Therefore, cycles were not related. Please note that I no longer have PSSD. I have recovered. I find vitD3 (5000IU, solgar brand) working well with me to increase desire. I usually see resutls within days. I know it does not make sense but that is my experience.\ Adil To: SSRIsex Sent: Thursday, June 2, 2011 5:31 PMSubject: Re: Finally cured after 2 years of hell: Any Updates? Guest guest
Adil what helped you recover. Besides the vitamin D3?Did the inositol choline contribute to recovery or did it just give an additive effect. Â I have used inositol+chloe on few occasions. I saw immediate results within two days. Guest guest
Congrats on your recovery. Its encouraging to see people healing. How long did you have PSSD? What were your symptoms? Do you think it was inositol that cured you? What dose? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Background about me: I'm a 27 year old male. I was put onPaxil > > > >for social anxiety disorder.
