Hi,

I would like to know if post ssri sexual dysfunction (specially genital

anesthesia) is frequent among the population.

There are over 2800 people in this forum so I think it's frequent. If 2800

people come here, it would mean that a lot of people suffer from post ssri

sexual dysfunction (specially genital anesthesia), wouldn't it?

Glad to know I'm not alone. It takes me a bit longer to get an erection than

before I went on Celexa 3 yrs ago, but the numbness and the lack of climaxing

about 85% of the time is frustrating. When I do, it's nothing compared what it

used to be, more like " meh " .

It's been a long while since I've been with anyone, almost to the point that I

really don't miss it. An over all feeling of blase.

Hello,

I want to say that it must be a big problem because there are 2800 people in

this forum.

For example, if you take a forum about schizophrenia that is an affection that

concern 1% of the population, you can find a forum of only 2800 people too (like

http://www.atoute.org/n/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=8).

So you can say: if there are 2800 people in this forum, it would mean that 1% of

the population suffer from this syndrome.

No?

>

> 2800 people isn't that many people considering there are 7 billion people in

the world, but that doesn't make this any easier. I would say genital anesthesia

is my biggest problem with this dysfunction. Even when I am able to get a good

solid erection, the numbness  doesn't go away.

We have tried to answer this question here before but we all end up disagreeing with each other. Maybe it is rare because there are not many people on our site which seems a bit strange, on the other hand one expert on PSSD say's this is an enormous problem.

For new comers on this site who have not seen this Dr Stuart Shipko's film, here it is:
