Guest guest
i do private consults in hospitals all the time. the LC's and nurses are relieved to see me there. I don't ask anyone. the mom is free to hire anyone she wants--doulas or whatever. And she can have anyone "visit" her she wants. so why not? I do it sometimes at a local hospital that has no lactation program. However, I have been asked to come to a different local hospital which does have a lactation program. This mother knows me from a previous contact so really wants me to come, and there may have been some unpleasantness with the LC at the hospital when she saw her. In any case, I don’t want to step on anyone’s feet. I have tried to contact the LC at the hospital but can’t get a hold of her. Anyone deal with this situation before? Guest guest
Actually, , the mother just had a c-section today, so I suppose she won’t be leaving until Sunday. However, you may be exactly right because I don’t think the LC is ever there on the weekends! Maybe if I’m lucky she won’t be there tomorrow either!
