Guest guest
Hi , just a quick reply to the previous discussion, as it is getting on my nerves. Why do you think that chemistry is easier to learn than a foreign language? Just because I was born in a Western country, doesn't mean I am more at ease with Western science than with Eastern philosophy. Besides, how many people in the world are now actually growing up on Coca Cola and American TV? Maybe the old ideas of East and West are getting a bit out of date..... To say that you have to learn Chinese language to learn TCM, is like saying that you need to speak Latin to learn Western medicine, herbal or not. Then again, maybe a good idea, along with Greek of course, seeing the terminology used in the debates on this website, at times as incomprehensible to me as the concepts of Eastern philosophy may seem? All traditional medicine systems are based on the Elements (water, air, fire etc.), some using four, others five, the Druids had eight! This is a Universal principle, and as a human being you are a living example. Going back in history, Galen, Hippocrates, Aristoteles, Avicenna, all used these same principles, and they are indeed the basis of Western as well as Eastern thinking.... only the people in the West seem to have forgotten what the basic philosopy is. But then again, their texts are in Latin.... The Elements are the basic Law of Nature. It seems you want to add philosopy to chemistry... why not use philosophy as a basis to understand medicine? Keep going, oh yes, and what parish are you from then? (hopefully a world citizen?) Marilena. _________________________________________________________________ Use MSN Messenger to send music and pics to your friends http://messenger.msn.co.uk
