As you may all know by now Rutland Biodynamics Ltd is having open days on both

13th July and 10th August. Unfortunately, I am not going to be around on either

of those days. Therefore, kindly accepted a visit by me on 12th June. And

this is what I want to share with you. It is a fantastic setting. Production of

herbal material from herbs grown on the same land. Sixty acres of land, 15

acres allocated for herb cultivation. It is astonishing to see 70,000 Echinacea

plants growing on two acres adjacent to further acres of Marigold, sage,

Scutellaria… and to my surprise even Valeriana. Until that day I was under the

impression that UK climate was not hot enough to host this plant. Besides

horticultural aspects and production line has successfully put together a

small but very impressive laboratory where he can look at the holistic quality

of herbal extracts. This process is at its early stages but when develops can

potentially determine the quality of herbs in a more holistic way rather than

simply by quantifying a single ingredient of it. I congratulate on his

achievements and I would certainly recommend a visit. I am sure you would enjoy

it as I did.
