Are you using a laptop? Most PC batteries don't just go out. I wish there was

something I could do to help you with your computer problems. If it's a PC the

battery is usually on the mother board somewhere. It looks much like a watch

battery. Once you remove it, you will lose your bios information on the

computer. So before you remove the battery you will need to create a system

restore disk.

I hope your friend can fix your old computer.

Do you have a library near by? You can always go there and log in from time to

time.
