Guest guest
I was talking with one of the parents on the list the other day and she made the comment that her child had more physical ds features when they were younger than now. I have noticed when looking at the pictures on photoisland that I cannot see any features on the older children. I don't see many on the younger children either but it does seem I see more when looking at the very young verses the older children. I was wondering if those of you with older children feel like any physical features have faded as your child got older. Don't misunderstand my inquiry I am not implying that the appearance of a person w/ds is any less than anyone else. True beauty radiates from within. It seems that in some ways a lack of features would make dealing w/ society even more challenging. I know many here have expressed issues you have had with behavior or learning in your children. I feel people would question behaviors more with a child who appears typical than someone who obviously had ds. I imagine parents of autistic children have similar challenges in dealing with society. Just thinking out loud. Hope
