Guest guest
Cheryl, I am in the same boat as you. I am happy to be affectionate, giving plenty of hugs and kisses, but nothing more for quite a while because it had been totally frustrating for me. My husband has had coronary artery disease and PD since 1983. During the very protracted period when it was becoming increasingly difficult, it would involve so much time and effort with minimal result. Also, the other demands of the illness have been just about all I could handle, and to continue to accept still another challenge, with my husband's inability to reciprocate, just seemed to add to my feelings of anger and deprivation. Following the Serenity Prayer, I've decided this is one area where I can't turn back the clock. is lucky and wonderful. I greatly appreciate the sharing of these thoughts and feelings. It helps.
