Hashimoto is an autoimmune, where you diagnosed with another autoimmune too that

you say you were diagnosed with autoimmune and hashimoto? Armour is a good start

glad to hear you have been started on natural medicine. Were you Vit D deficient

that your on Vit D? It is common for a Hashi patient to be vit D deficient.

I do not recommend Iodine, I actually avoid iodine rich foods and use only sea

salt no iodized salt. It is controversial the benefits of iodine with a hashi

person it increases antibody levels. I suggest buying the book " why do I have

thyroid symptoms while my lab tests are normal " It is by Dr Datis Kharrizan.

Here are some articles about iodine not being good for hashi patients.

I also suggest going to a gluten free diet. It has helped many hashi people and

autoimmune people. Gluten is not good for anyone with an autoimmune disease. It

sounds hard to do but it is much easier then it sounds there is a gluten free

item for pretty much anything you normally eat.

You should notice a difference with the medication (if its the right amount for

you) with in about 6 weeks but everyone is different and if its not enough

medication you may not feel better. What is your dosage? Do you have a lot of

thyroid symptoms? Some things like Hair loss I have been told will take about 9

months (once your levels are normal) to get better.

Good luck and hope you get better soon.
